Orchids & Alligators Kayak Eco Tour in Everglades National Park
Beautiful butterflies, fabulous ferns and gorgeous wildflowers, including at least seven different species of wild orchids, are NOT the things that most people expect in the wilds of the Florida Everglades! But these are some of the things that you may see on this easy-paced kayaking adventure with a certified Master Naturalist guide.
Of course, what Everglades experience would be complete, without seeing its most famous resident, the American Alligator? The unobtrusive stealth of the kayaks often affords the opportunity to observe these iconic creatures from a safe distance, yet close enough to take good pictures.

48 Hours Minimum Advance Booking Required. Hotel pick-up not included; tour departs from Everglades City, FL (location will be specified on your E-Ticket). Please order online or call us at 212-852-4822 to order or for more information.
There is a $6.95 USD processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order. There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown at checkout includes any fuel surcharges, service charges and tax. There are no additional charges, unless otherwise specified.
Tour / Activity Policies
Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.
Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

Covid-19 Procedures
Certainly, these are challenging times. As such, these experiences have been adapted for the duration of the crisis. Please know that:
- All boats, kayaks and gear are washed/sanitized before each tour.
- Hand sanitizers and hand washing stations are available to all guests. You are asked to please use them before the tour for your safety and the staff's.
- Tours are operating under a strict "no-touch" policy, so please excuse the staff for not shaking hands.
- Your guide will be wearing face covering and all guests are asked to do the same.
- Most important, staff will try to conduct your tour privately so that there will be no mixing of groups; in the instances where that's not possible, appropriate distancing will be maintained throughout the tour.
The Orchids and Alligators Kayak Eco Tour is a learning experience for young and old. Many have remarked that taking this tour is like being inserted into a television nature documentary, except that everything is right in front of you to see, smell, and even touch. Throughout the trip, your guides will take the time to share their knowledge and experiences and encourage your involvement.
What to Bring
- Sun protection is very important; bring hats, polarized sunglasses and sunscreen.
- Clothing should be appropriate for the season and the day's weather.
- Please be sure to bring protective footwear that you do not mind getting wet, or even muddy.
- Flip-flop type sandals are not appropriate.
- Please bring at least 1 liter of water per person as hydration is very important.
- Bring a camera (in a plastic zip lock bag if it is not waterproof).
- Binoculars and field glasses are also a good idea.
